How the tags are picked
Grailed allows 10 tags per listing, 32 characters each, and says the best tags describe the item itself: "styles, eras, materials, features, genres, seasons, motifs, trends". It also says not to fill tags with irrelevant keywords or designers, and removes tags that break its rules. The designer has its own field on the sell form, so these tags leave the brand out.
Grailed's own advice is to keep the title to three to six words and put extra keywords in the tags, which is what these are for. Nothing you type leaves your browser.

- Up to 10 per listing, each up to 32 characters, in the Tags field on the sell form. They show on the listing page and in search results.
- Should I tag the designer on Grailed?
- No. The designer has its own field, and Grailed asks sellers not to fill tags with designers. Use tags for the style, era, material and features.
- How long should a Grailed title be?
- Grailed recommends three to six words, without the designer name, which is entered separately. Extra keywords belong in the tags.
