How Etsy fees work in United States

  • Listing fee: USD 0.20 per listing, charged when you list the item whether or not it sells.
  • Transaction fee: 6.5% of the item price plus the shipping and gift wrap you charge. Not charged on sales tax.
  • Payment processing: 3% + $0.25 of what the buyer pays, including shipping and sales tax. Set by the country of your bank account.
  • Offsite Ads fee: 15% of the item price, shipping and gift wrap, or 12% once your shop has made USD 10,000 in sales in a year. Never more than USD 100 an order.
  • Texas sales tax on the transaction fee: Since 1 October 2025, Texas sellers pay 6.25% Texas sales tax on 80% of the transaction fee.

A listing that renews before it sells costs another USD 0.20 every four months. Selling more than one of a listing costs USD 0.20 for each extra item.

Listing in a currency other than your bank account’s adds a 2.5% currency conversion fee on the sale. List in your bank’s currency to avoid it.

Etsy Ads, shipping labels and the one-time shop set-up fee are charged separately and are not included.
