Does Poshmark charge fees on shipping?

No. The buyer pays for the prepaid label ($6.49 in the US since 12 September 2025, up to 5 lb), and Poshmark’s fee is charged on the item price only. A shipping discount you offer comes out of your earnings.

What is the Texas Seller Fee Tax?

Since 1 October 2025, sellers with a Texas return address pay Texas sales tax on 80% of Poshmark’s fee, taken from earnings. On a $100 sale at a combined 8.25% rate that is $1.32.

Does Poshmark Canada charge tax on its fee?

Yes. GST/HST on Poshmark’s fee is taken from your earnings at your province’s rate, for example 13% of the fee in Ontario.

How Poshmark fees work in United States

Texas Seller Fee Tax: Since 1 October 2025, sellers with a Texas return address pay Texas sales tax on 80% of Poshmark’s fee, deducted from earnings.
Shipping discount: What you fund so the buyer pays less than $6.49 for shipping: $1.50 for $4.99 shipping, $6.49 for free shipping. Deducted from earnings.
Overweight label upgrade: The prepaid label covers up to 5 lb. A 5.01–10 lb label costs $5; 10.01–15 lb costs $10. Deducted from earnings.

The buyer pays the $6.49 Posh Post label (up to 5 lb) and any sales tax on top of the price. Neither reaches you, and Poshmark charges no fee on them.

Buyers pay no Poshmark fee. Poshmark removed its Buyer Protection Fee on 24 October 2024.

Cashing out: direct deposit and check are free; Instant Transfer costs $2 and PayPal or Venmo $0.35 per transfer.

How Poshmark fees work in Canada

Poshmark fee: C$3.95 on a sale under C$20; 20% of the sale at C$20 and over. Charged on the final order price, never on shipping or tax. Card processing is included. Listing is free.
GST/HST on Poshmark fee: GST/HST on Poshmark’s fee at your province’s rate (5% GST; 13% HST Ontario; 14% Nova Scotia; 15% New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, PEI), deducted from earnings.

The buyer pays shipping plus tax on it: C$12.49 with Canada Post, or C$6.99 with Purolator Pick Up where you have turned it on. It does not reach you, and Poshmark charges no fee on it.

A B.C. seller selling to a B.C. buyer also pays B.C. PST on Poshmark’s fee. Poshmark does not publish the rate, so it is not included.

A shipping discount you offer (to C$9.99, C$6.99 or free) and labels over 2.5 kg (C$1 per extra 0.5 kg, up to 5 kg) come out of your earnings, plus GST/HST at the buyer’s province rate. Neither is included.
