How much does Shopify take from a sale?

With Shopify Payments, a card fee per order: in the US 2.9% + $0.30 on Basic, 2.7% on Grow, 2.5% on Advanced and 2.25% on Plus, more for US business cards, American Express and cards from abroad. There is no commission on top.

What is Shopify’s third-party transaction fee?

If a provider other than Shopify Payments takes the payment, Shopify charges 2% of the order on Basic, 1% on Grow, 0.6% on Advanced and 0.2% on Plus, on top of that provider’s own processing fee.

Does Shopify charge fees on shipping and tax?

Yes. Both the card fee and the third-party transaction fee are charged on the whole order: products after discounts, plus shipping and tax.

What are Shopify’s card rates in the UK, Australia and Canada?

How Shopify fees work in United States
